Dance for Peace 2015 an event that will promote peace among people. It is being organized and sponsored by Overseas Chinese Alumni Association of the Philippines. The aim of the program is to unite our Filipino brothers and sisters in promoting peace and harmony in our country. They firmly believed that this is the key to a successful strong nation that we Filipino have to comprehend. Dance for Peace 2015 is open for dance groups composed of 2 - 10 members (all male or all female or combination of both). Dance routine shall be aligned with the theme: "Peace, Love, Triumph and Hope". Winners will receive P20,000 (Champion), P10,000 (1st Place) and P5,000 (2nd Place). For a very long time, the Philippines is one of those countries dominating the Hip Hop dance competitions in the world. We've travel a lot just to represent our country and wave the Philippine flag.
This coming July, we will launch our home-grown international Dance Competition via Elite Asia International Dance Championship. ELITE ASIA is the first international street dance championship of the Philippines. Hip Hop disciplines are the core essence of the competition, with urban choreography and battles the outlet to express your dance skills and creativity. ELITE ASIA will give recognition to the best crews and individual dancers through a pointing system, accumulated by winning a division or battle. Sigaw is dance community established last June 8, 2015 to a common vision of uniting the dance crews and uplifting the lift of dancers. The founding crews are 21st Street, Eventhough Dancers, Explosive Attraction, The X Movers, The Capital R, Myxthrategy, WMI, Blumstyle Syndicate, Hi-Teck Movers and Junior Simple Beat. Adopted members are G12 Crew and Anak Ng Kidlat. It is their dream to represent the Philippines in international competition. They plan to build good camaraderie amongthe members, help and support each other. They value faith, leadership, integrity, excellence, humility and trust. They have partnered with Kristiyanong Kabataan para sa Bayan - Tondo Central and Dance PH for their weekly workshop at KKB Hall to make their members even stronger in their dancing skills. Their battlecry is "Isang Sayaw, Isang Sigaw." Elected Officers for 2015-2016 are Rey Libante (President), Ardie Ortega (Vice-President), Lloyd Malictay (Secretary), Alfred Nuque (Treasurer) and Ian Agustin (Auditor). Prof. Louis Ryan Angeles is one of the founder and adviser of the community. Despite the heavy rain, Hataw Manileño was a big success after fourteen (14) crews from the six districts of the City of Manila competed today at Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila. Hundreds of supporters came to witness the event.
J-Crisis from Sampaloc, Manila won the Grand Prize of P100,000. The crew mesmerized the crowd once more with their signature dance steps and stunts. Batang Mama Academy of Dance Megacrew is P75,000 richer as they took the 1st place. Meanwhile, Mama's Boys won the 2nd place with P50,000 on their pocket. Other participating crews are Xtreme Identity Crew, For Rent, The Capital R, Not For Sale, Jazz Exchange, Malatean Dance Company, Reefers, Huckfinn, Zigno ng Zodiaco, Mascomthea, Piece of Wood. They took home P10,000 each. The competition proved that Manileños are great performers. The best of the best from the city capital was witnessed and enjoyed by the crowd.
