Despite the heavy rain, Hataw Manileño was a big success after fourteen (14) crews from the six districts of the City of Manila competed today at Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila. Hundreds of supporters came to witness the event.
J-Crisis from Sampaloc, Manila won the Grand Prize of P100,000. The crew mesmerized the crowd once more with their signature dance steps and stunts. Batang Mama Academy of Dance Megacrew is P75,000 richer as they took the 1st place. Meanwhile, Mama's Boys won the 2nd place with P50,000 on their pocket. Other participating crews are Xtreme Identity Crew, For Rent, The Capital R, Not For Sale, Jazz Exchange, Malatean Dance Company, Reefers, Huckfinn, Zigno ng Zodiaco, Mascomthea, Piece of Wood. They took home P10,000 each. The competition proved that Manileños are great performers. The best of the best from the city capital was witnessed and enjoyed by the crowd. The competition was organized by the Office of the Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.
